Audrey Joy Malek

A Life of Worship

Audrey Joy Malek was born on March 22, 2005 and passed away one day later on March 26, 2005. Her whole life was a worshipful life of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Certainly, she caused her parents, family and friends faith to increase as a result of her short existence on earth and, we trust, it will continue to affect our faith as she lives in our memories and as she eternally lives sprtually with the Lord in Heaven!

During Bess's sixth months of pregnancy, complications arose and the doctors ultimately concluded that an abortion was the recommended option. Bess and her husband Baher are Christians and didn't feel it was God's will to go down that path, unless Bess's health was in danger.

The pregnancy was very difficult, emotionally draining and overwhelming, and many questioned the Malek's decisions, yet they honored God with their word, their hearts and their entire lives. What a witness the Malek's were to many for Christ! Despite struggles, they were faithful - - and as little Audrey Joy continued to grow inside her mother, so did her complications..... The little child was struggling for life and her little body was not physically forming correctly....

Despite the incredible struggles, Little Audrey Joy was eventually born on March 22, 2005 -- she was blind, deaf, had some physical deformities and - - - was an absolutely beautiful baby to her parents.

Audrey Joy's parents spent her entire life with her - - one day - - loving her, caring for her, holding her and prasing God for her!

Once the parent's held her, they knew choosing life for the little broken baby was God's will. While there were (and are) still so many more questions than answers, for that short time period, the Malek family worshipped God together for the gift of Audrey Joy and for the gift of Grace.

For the Malek's, the life of Audrey Joy has resulted in an increase in their faith in Christ like no event before it.

The Scriptures speak of this - - that trials are the tool Christ uses to determine the genuiness of our faith. The Book of I Peter includes these verses:

" In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. I Pet 1 6-7

And this verse says, that faith (that is now proved genuine thru trials) is for a purpose - - - and that purpose is to result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed - - and at that time - - - when Jesus is revealed at His Second Coming - - the Malek family will all be reunited in Heaven..... and what a worshipful moment that will be - - Mom and Dad (Clara and Benjamin) reunited with their beautiful daughter Audrey Joy - - praising Christ !!!!
